The JK engine parts on this page are the 3.6 Pentastar items owners replace on a schedule or after a known failure: the oil-filter housing and cooler in the valley, the spark plugs, the coil-on-plug units, and the camshaft position sensor. The valley housing, 68596317AB on 2014-and-later JKs, is the expensive one. Plugs, coils, and the cam sensor are the ones that show up as a misfire or a hard start.
The plastic housing sits under the intake and also carries the oil cooler. When it cracks or the seals go, oil, and sometimes coolant, pools in the valley and drips down the back of the engine onto the bellhousing. Mopar has revised the number several times. 2012–2013 trucks use a different filter style, and converting the housing changes which filter fits. Read the part page before you order a cartridge.
Spark plugs are SP149125AF, the same plug as Champion 9407. Rear plugs on the driver bank need the upper intake off, so the wrong plug means doing that job twice. Each cylinder has its own coil, 5149168AJ. A single-cylinder misfire is a swap test, not a full set. The cam sensor, 5149141AF, is what the computer uses to time fuel and spark. A failed one can stall or refuse to start.
JL and Gladiator 3.6 parts look similar and mostly do not interchange. Plug SP225755AB and coil 68223569AD are the later-generation numbers. Match the generation before you add anything to a cart.

When to replace
Replace the valley housing when you can see oil or coolant in the valley, or a drip at the bellhousing that is not the rear main. Do the plugs on the factory interval, or when a plug is the confirmed misfire. The intake is coming off anyway, so do the set, and look at the valley housing while you are there. Replace one coil after a swap test moves the misfire with it. Replace the cam sensor when you have cam-sensor codes plus a hard start, a stall, or a no-start, and the connector is clean. None of these are rebuild parts.
Safety
The valley job is intake-off work on a hot, oily engine. Let it cool, and keep shop rags out of the ports. A misfire you keep driving dumps fuel into the catalyst. A no-start from a cam sensor is a tow, not a longer cranking session. If the oil and coolant are mixing, milky oil or coolant that disappears with no puddle, stop driving and confirm which seal failed before you add either fluid.
